Sister Lakes has the small town friendliness that many of us yearn for. Having lived in quite a few large cities around the country, and now living near Sister Lakes, I am often reminded of the difference. In Cincinnati or Washington or Atlanta, if you are walking or driving down the street and you wave at someone you don't know, they are very likely to look at you funny, as if suspicious of your motives.
In Sister Lakes, if you DON'T wave or say Hi, they might look at you funny. No one here thinks it strange to greet and talk to someone you don't know.
